The Accountancy Profession is one of the stakeholders that for many years had been providing its pre-budget proposals to the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

The main objective of year 2025/2026 pre-budget proposals is to highlight areas of improvement that the Government could consider as it prepares the next national budget with the purposes of increasing government revenue, promoting industrial economy and improving the standard of living of its citizens.

With this public notice all accountancy profession stakeholders are invited to submit their proposals which will be consolidated and submitted by NBAA to the Ministry of Finance in December 2024 for further deliberations. Proposals submitted should be supported with detailed reasons, benchmarking with other countries, if any, and provide recommendations for easy understanding and consideration during the deliberations.

The deadline for receiving stakeholders’ proposals is on Friday 27^th September, 2024.
